🌲 **What:** Group Hike on the Boulder River Trail
🏞 **Where:** Boulder River Wilderness, Washington
🥾**Hike Duration:** Approximately 4 hours
🗓 **When:** Saturday, November 16th
🚗 **Meeting Point:** Outside Woods Coffee, near Regal Cinema, Bellingham, WA
📝 **Bellingham Carpool** **Meeting Time:** We will be meeting at 9am and leaving no later then 9:10am to drive to the trail.
🌲 **Trailhead Meeting Time:** 11:15am
🌲 **Hiking Start Time:** 11:20am

🥾 **Distance & Difficulty:** Approximately 8.6 miles round trip, moderate difficulty with a mix of gentle slopes and scenic views
📝 **Who Should Join:** Hikers of all levels are welcome! This trail is perfect for those who enjoy exploring lush, forested paths and appreciate breathtaking waterfalls.

**Trail Highlights:**

* **Cascading Waterfalls:** The trail boasts a series of picturesque waterfalls, including the iconic Boulder Falls, making for great photo opportunities and serene moments by the water.
* **Lush Greenery:** Immerse yourself in the beauty of the dense, moss-covered old-growth forest and enjoy the tranquility of the towering trees and ferns that surround the path.
* **Peaceful River Views:** The trail runs parallel to the Boulder River, offering a soothing background sound of flowing water to accompany your hike.

**What to Bring:**

* **Footwear & Clothing:** Sturdy, comfortable hiking boots or shoes and layered clothing suitable for weather conditions.
* **Essentials:** Plenty of water to stay hydrated, snacks or a light lunch for a trail-side break, and a small backpack for carrying your items.
* **Extras:** Bring trekking poles if you prefer them for stability, a camera for capturing the stunning scenery, and a rain jacket just in case of sudden weather changes.

**Plan & Logistics:**

* We will meet at Woods Coffee by the movie theater, arrange carpool and jump into our cars, and set out together.
* If you want to carpool from somewhere else besides Bellingham, feel free to comment on the event page and see if you can find a carpool.
* The trail is known for its moderate terrain, making it a comfortable hike for those with basic fitness. It’s family-friendly and great for group outings.
* **Estimated time on the trail:** About 4-5 hours, including stops for photos and rest.
