Free Improv Workshop

Improv is a relatively new art form from Chicago. It is theatre but instead of memorizing scripts, everything is made up on the spot. In this workshop you will learn theatre skills through games and eventually work together to create stories in a safe, collaborative environment. Improvising has been shown to have many benefits for the individual from increasing confidence and reducing anxiety to boosting creativity and overcoming fear. This group welcomes all levels but will be geared towards beginners. We will start sessions with skill building games from improv's beginnings while the later half will be more fluid and fun. Each day strives to be "stand alone" so join at any time.
