Winter Camino Coastal Portuguese Route
We are going to walk along the coastal around the Vigo estuary. We will be staying in the beautiful coastal cities of Baiona and Vigo before re-joining the traditional Camino Portuguese to Santiago de Compostela.
This region is known for its seafood, its oysters and scallops. Wash it down with the local Albarino wine a true gastronomic delight.
130km in 6 days of walking
- Small group travel with Carene.
- Every night, you will enjoy the comforts of a hotel bed and facilities (based on twin-sharing) and peace of having your private bathroom
- Walk the Camino with daypack only: Luggage will be forwarded daily to hotel
- Savour the Galician cuisine and Camino pilgrim’s meals during your walk
- Baiona, our start point is a quaint and beautiful coastal village
- Our coastal walks are along gorgeous coast line on boardwalk with stunning views on the Atlantic Ocean and the Cies islands
- You will pass through typical Galician landscape with rural areas and lush green Eucalyptus forests.
- Emerging from the dense woods of Lombo da Maceira, you’ll see a statue of Saint James the pilgrim, his staff pointing the way to proceed.
- Padron – a place for peppers!!! It is also famous for being the first land sighted by the ship bearing the body of St James.
- In Santiago de Compostela, we will stay in the hotel just right beside the cathedral to enjoy the sights, sound and serenity of the town
- Visit the major highlights of Porto in our customized walking tour
- Explore Porto, a town in Portugal, famed for its stately bridges, Port Wine production and canned Sardines.
