Let's go listen to brave storytellers tell the truths of their lives in front of a live and enthusiastic listening audience! **This month's theme : Last Straw**.

Get inspired and prepare to be awed by the varied and colorful lived experiences and courage of our neighbors right here in our community! Who knows, maybe it will inspire you to tell your own real life story at a future StoryOly event!

Let's meet at the Brotherhood Lounge between 5:30/6 to get seats, slam starts at 7. Bring your own dinner/snacks. Non-alcoholic beverages are available at the bar. Cash only. Suggested donation $5-15, benefiting Olympia area non-profits.

**About StoryOly:** StoryOly is Olympia's premiere StorySlam event. Community members come together on the third Tuesday of every month (Nov -Aug) to share, compete, tell and listen to true stories based on a monthly them. StoryOly aims to encourage and develop community engagement and connection through the medium of storytelling.

A Story Slam is a storytelling performance competition. At each monthly StoryOly Story Slam multiple tellers take the stage and tell a true story from their life related to the theme. They are allotted 8 minutes to tell their tale. A winner is decided upon based on the scores of 3 volunteer judges selected from the audience.
