Organizational transformation can be a daunting task, particularly for middle managers who often find themselves "caught in the middle," navigating strategies developed at higher levels while managing the day-to-day operations of their teams. However, middle managers are far from powerless; they possess a unique opportunity to drive meaningful and lasting change within their organizations. By adopting the right approach and developing multi-directional trust above, beside, and below, middle managers can significantly influence the success of transformation initiatives.

While the term "Agile" has become somewhat of a loaded word in the industry, it is not necessary to use it explicitly to benefit from the valuable tools and principles that Agility offers. In this talk, we will explore how to effectively adapt agile principles, enhance team engagement, and seamlessly integrate organizational improvements by "hiding them in the peanut butter".

Jesus' Bio:
Jesus Hernandez is a Certified Organizational Coach with 12 years of expertise in fostering agility at both organizational and team levels. His experience spans across Agile transformations within the BC Provincial Government, Fortune 500 global corporations, and currently at BCI. Jesus adopts a systemic coaching approach, engaging with individuals across hierarchical levels, from team members to senior executives. He assists in the pursuit of business agility by cultivating learning organizations.

Gargi's Bio:
Gargi Bougie is a Senior Manager in Technology at BCI, based in Victoria. At BCI, Gargi is responsible for business relationships, application delivery and emerging technologies for the front office investment teams. She has led significant projects, including the agile transformation of four teams under her leadership and the delivery of numerous technology products and services. Gargi has previous experience as a Certified Scrum Master and is a Certified Agile Leader 1.
