What we’re about

Many of us who were born and raised Muslim have complicated relationships with the theological and social teachings of Islam, yet we retain some of the cultural aspects of the religion and don't want to cut ourselves off entirely from our families. This feels like an under-explored perspective among Muslims - we don't have a well-established term for someone who shares such views. Inspired by this excellent essay (https://thecompanion.in/being-an-agnostic-muslim/), I chose the term "agnostic Muslim" for now.

This is a difficult position to occupy, and I found myself craving the company of like-minded people. A community can provide a space for sharing ideas and making new connections!
