We are so excited to have our FIRST EVER December meetup. We have historically taken November and December off, but we jumped at the chance to have the amazing Shannon Birchell from VyStar join us to talk about "Cost Based Action – An adaptive collection management approach". We will be back at the amazing Legacy Ale Works with NLP Logix providing drink tickets.
Abstract:
In this presentation, we will discuss how VyStar has leveraged advanced analytics and machine learning to transform its collections management process. From a business perspective, our goal is to minimize losses, promote a healthier loan portfolio, and drive long-term growth and profitability. To achieve this, we have developed an AI-driven approach that optimizes our collections queue daily, ensuring that our collectors are aligned with the most influential situations to drive payment.
From a modeling perspective, our approach combines the predictive power of 8 propensity-to-pay models with the adaptive capabilities of a Reinforcement Learning (RL) model. Our RL model is guided by a custom-developed reward function, informed by actual business feedback and outcomes. This enables our AI engine to learn from our collections data and adapt its decision-making to maximize the effectiveness of our collection’s efforts.
