Tinsel Turkey and Secret Santa

Christmas! Groan......

Yes its on its way, shops are full, music is playing and its all doing your head in wondering what to do with yourself! Stress not.....if you're at a loose end then do not stay home alone. You are cordially invited to join Christmas at team captains place! The address of which, if you don't already know it, will appear in your stocking (sorry inbox) 😂 once signed up. However it is in Aldercar, Langley Mill.

Its an informal day and starts whenever you choose to arrive, but a Bucks Fizz and croissants breakfast is usually around 11am. Dinner is planned for around 2 but if Michael does the spuds its closer to 4!!!! (I don't let him do the sprouts anymore as we'd be starving by New Years Eve). Turkey is the usual, but let me know if you are an alternative diet. 🦃

There will be Tinsel and a tree for Secret Santa presents to go under. There will likely be Brandy with or without the Christmas pud! Plenty of Mulled stuff and a few mouldy mince pies with a glass or two of tea or coffee...yeah right not..... Michael will be on the rum and get to maudlin about whatever film he last saw in 1956. I will fall asleep sat under a cat with big woolly socks on. There will be chatter and food and drinks, possibly games or you can walk the dog (but you will have to bring one) and even snooze the day away in the corner if that is your preference, whatever you wish it will be in good company, no stress.

Feel free to bring a bottle, trifle, pudding, brandy sauce, lump of cheese or whatever towards the food and yourselves, slippers and Christmas jumpers! Canine friends welcome, please warn me in advance and should you prefer to imbibe and require accommodation I have a spare room and a sofa of which you are welcome to on a first come first serve basis.

So if you fancy a traditional Christmas doing just about nothing in good company....... I now have a table for 10 or so people!
