We will discuss trading and investing strategies. It is a casual meetup to meet people who are interested in trading especially algorithmically.
I personally trade both discretionally and algorithmically. Algo trading has many benefits over manual or discretionary trading. Especially all the mistakes related to psychology of a trader are taken care of by systematic trading.
Another major benefit for me is giving a trader time back to do what they want to do and not be glued to the screen or the news.
We will also discuss tools that are available for retail traders - for example trading view, python, and different brokers.
Algorithmic trading, often referred to as "algo trading," is a method of executing orders using automated pre-programmed trading instructions to account for variables such as time, price, and volume.
This type of trading attempts to leverage the speed and computational resources of computers to execute trades at the best possible prices and manage costs, minimize market impact, and potentially increase profitability.
Algo trading is commonly used by large institutional investors and market makers, but it is also accessible to retail traders.
Note this even is not sponsored or endorsed by any business where we are meeting. We are just using their space for casual meetup event.
Please no promotion of MLM, pyramid schemes or similar stuff.
