What we’re about
I run 5 a side football league in Finsbury Park on Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. We are currently looking for new teams to join us for our next season in January 2022. The league has been running in the area for over a decade and is expanding once again due to the demand to play outdoor sport. We are always keen to have teams on board that represent all boroughs of North London.
I believe that the league is an excellent platform for players/teams to keep game awareness sharp and also gives you more of what every footballer needs - competition! We already have players and full teams from SAL, AFC as well as Barnet, Camden and Edmonton Sunday Leagues with us - lots of these sides use the league as a training opportunity as they cannot attain that with their club, others as a fitness boost.
We currently have two divisions on each night with 8 sides in each, so there is guaranteed to be a standard to fit your side. The league also differentiates itself from other options in London as we always work with the captains to ensure that all teams can attain help to fit their needs. Whether that be always kicking off early/late, help with kit or extra players - or even a last-minute cancellation - we will work with team captains and ensure that you never lose your time on the pitch, money from your pocket or points on the board.
The matches take place between 18:45pm - 21:30pm and are based on being highly competitive, having fun and providing a social element - both at the venue and at the pub after. We offer some of the most competitive rates in London, starting at £45 per team per week/£7 per player per match.
The location is a 5-minute walk from Finsbury Park station; which is an excellent transport hub of North London - on the Piccadilly and Victoria tube lines, as well as being a National Rail station servicing Thameslink and Great Northern. We are also a short walk from Crouch Hill (overground) as well as multiple bus routes (FP bus terminus 5 min walk)
If this is of any interest to you or your team, I would love to hear from you.
