Welcome all photographers and wanderers!
The goal to explore the city / bay area through new perspectives and meet other photographers. This group is focused on film photography, but if you're curious about that and only have digital/phone for the moment feel free to join!
I'd like to turn this into a monthly event but I'm going to wait until after the kickoff and calibrate from there.
The idea is to structure a photography group like an alley cat bike race, where people don't all follow the same route but have a few checkpoints and end up at the same destination.
Start from where you live, find your way to the same park or cafe, Initial meetup and then breakout into small groups or solo and wander on to the destination (food, drinks, a different park). The routes will be loosely structured around some fixture of the city.
With film its initially harder to share what you captured, so I'm thinking some combination of film and phone is good? Otherwise just storytelling and a delay on that sharing. I'll include a space (threads maybe) where people can share what they develop and tag the group.
