What we’re about
All Needle Crafts is a fiber arts group organized from the island of Maui, but open to members around the world. We have members who knit, crochet, embroider, cross-stitch, weave, and engage in many other needle crafts and fiber arts.
Originally founded by the late Sheila Starr, the group’s organizer is now Amanda.
Until March 2020, the group on Maui met up in person every Saturday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we went virtual which also allowed our out of state friends from afar to join us each week.
Join us to start a new project, to complete an unfinished one lurking under the bed or at the back of a closet. We welcome ALL skill levels. We’ve had sewers making succulent plants from felt, knitters stitching up socks and baby sweaters, embroiderers completing stitch samplers, and weavers working on portable looms. From crochet, to tatting, spinning yarn, and beyond all fiber arts artists are welcome.
We gather to share our work and to meet new people. We enjoy conversation and camaraderie. We love meeting people from around the world!
All Needle Crafts is a welcoming, inclusive group where everyone feels they belong, they can contribute, and where they know their voices will be heard. All Needle Crafts does not tolerate homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, sexism, or body-shaming. We accept that we all come from different backgrounds and lived experiences, and will work to hear each other.
