Be courteous and change your RSVP to “Not Attending” if you are unable to attend the outing so that we are not waiting for you. You can also contact and inform the Fishmaster or another attending member. For safety reasons let the Fishmaster or another attending member know if you leave the outing early. Otherwise, we will be searching for you at the end of the outing.

Woods Lake is located in Alpine County approx. 2 easy miles south of Hwy. 88. There are campsites at the lake that are on a first come basis. The cost is $22 per night. There is a $10 day use fee which you will put in a supplied envelope and insert at the pay station. Bring the exact change. There is lakeside parking for those who arrive early. Drive past the camping area to the lake.
If you are looking for lodging in the area, Wylder Hotel, formerly Sorensen's Resort, would be the closest. There are also a couple of motels in Markleeville.
Bring a lunch, snacks, and beverages.
We will be fishing for Rainbow and Brook trout which reportedly can be caught in the outlet creek as well as the lake. The lake is best fished from a float tube but can also be fished from the bank.
