Hello everyone,
We have a number of volunteers schedule hikes for the group.
Brad and Genny are the ones to schedule more challenging hikes. Stephanie is out for a few months. Then there is the rest of us, Cindy, Waldon, and Rick are founding members. We have newer members Tex, Sara, Michel, Leslie, and Robert who are also volunteers for our group.

On July 7th of 2018, 7 people attended our inaugural hike. Since this time our group has grown and we have a core group of regular hikers whose ages span the decades.
Our hike leaders are Cindy, Stephanie, Rick, and Genny and we are looking for others to take on leadership roles.
We strive to offer a variety of hiking experiences that cater to different fitness levels ranging from shorter strolls to more challenging trails. Our hikes often take advantage of local settings such as Palo Duro Canyon. We embrace all levels of hiking skill and enjoy getting to make new friends from across the Panhandle.
Hikers assume the risk involved in hiking the trails. Always bring lots of water and snacks and stay in a group of at least 3 people. This is strictly a recreational group of people who enjoy hiking together.

Check Meetup to sign up for our regularly scheduled hikes which are usually posted several weeks in advance.
After daylight savings time we will resume our Wednesday night hikes.
"Let's Hike After Work Hikes" - are usually held on a Wednesday night after work. We decide what type of hike to take based on the group of people who show up. Future out of town hikes are in the plans. There is a closed Facebook group for Amarillo Hiking Group. However, you cannot join this group until AFTER you have joined meetup.com and have attended at least one hike with the group.
