Join us for a fun weekend of cycling, dining, and enjoying the breathtaking views of Midcoast Maine. We will be staying in the classic coastal town of Rockland, home of the renowned Farnsworth Art Museum. Our cycling routes will take us to inland lakes, mountains, and farms, as well as idyllic coastal harbors. On Saturday, we will take a ferry to bike around North Haven Island - and visit the smallest Maine microbrewery! Each day will include 2 rides: one a moderate 12-13 mph pace averaging 22 miles with elevation gains of 1500 ft, and an advanced ride of 13-15 mph with a range of 30-45 miles with elevation gains above 2600 ft. The terrain on the rides can vary greatly, with our island day fairly flat, but the Camden Hills on Friday can be hilly. Most roads are pavement, but some scenic roads have short stretches of packed dirt. We will enjoy the towns of Rockland and Camden, and have two Happy Hours (BYOB). Midcoast Maine is known for excellent dining, so we will eat food from popular area restaurants. Saturday and Sunday breakfast are included with the hotel reservation. Dinners and lunches are not included.

There is a non-refundable Registration Fee of $35.75 payable to AMC via the Paypal Link provided in the listing. This fee will cover food for one Happy Hour as well as partially defray volunteer leader costs (such as navigation, lodging, setting up and leading rides, logistical support, and meal arrangements). Once you've registered, the hotel information will be e-mailed to you. The hotel is offering rooms ranging from $217-$239 per night (single or double occupancy) which includes a 9% lodging tax. Rooms have either two queen beds or one king bed, so that cost can be shared with roommates. If people are seeking a roommate, we can try to help but are ultimately unable to guarantee this. Participants should consider this when booking a room. Dinners and lunches aren't included, nor are tickets for the ferry to North Haven, which are $22.50 each.To Register: Fill out the Google form Pay the registration fee via the PayPal link in the listing After being accepted on the trip by the leaders, make your hotel reservations.

No hotel rooms should be booked until you are accepted on the trip. We welcome newcomers, so will hold 3 rooms for folks new to AMC or who have never participated in a weekend trip with AMC, until July 15th.
