Inwood Park Classic Hike (Moderate)

Manhattan
Not just a “walk in the park.” But a real hike. Meet at Ann Loftus Playground at Broadway and Dykeman St. Manhattan at the restrooms by 10:15 AM. Hike at a moderate pace around the perimeter of the park and uphill, downhill on some older hiking trails and explore the caves in the colonial forest and enjoy each other's company after a beginning weather chill. Poles might be needed when going downhill. Temps should be in the mid 30’s. Approximately 3.5 to 4 miles. Joint with Shorewalkers: Members Only. Those who wish to continue after the hike ends may find it convenient to hike Ft. Tryon Park, from Ann Loftus Playground.
Transportation: Board the "A" train and exit at the Dyckman Street Station. The playground is across the street. Meet by the restrooms.

Drivers: Park in the neighborhood or nearby paid parking.
