Amnesty International Albany Chapter Members,
This holiday season, I'm thrilled to be partnering with the City Mission homeless shelter to engage in local community service. I wanted to share this opportunity with all of you as it aligns perfectly with our shared commitment to human and civil rights.
As activists, we often focus on global issues and large-scale campaigns. However, local service plays a crucial role in reinforcing our values and making a tangible difference in the lives of others. By volunteering at the City Mission, we can:

• Witness firsthand: Gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities and the systems that perpetuate inequality.
