New Moon Ceremony to Honor Beloved Nature Beings
Details
This sacred, ceremonial space will be to honor Nature Beings, or as I like to say, the more-than-human.
Prior experience with shamanism, transfiguration, or of any kind not required. Open to all!
If you have lost land, trees, animals (wild or pets), or any other beloved being in nature, I hope you will join me at 9pm live on Zoom, or you can have access to the recording after. If you would like to give me the name/identity of your Nature Being for the live ceremony, please email me (see below).
The new moon is a beautiful time for embracing the healing elements of darkness, feeling into what we hold within us that needs to grow and isn't touched by light yet. Acknowledging what feelings of love and grief we have can be a beautiful way to help both ourselves and the ones we lost find peace in what happened.
Preparation:
- On the 30th, the day of the new moon, please feel into your relationship with the Nature Being(s) you've lost. See if there is a yes arising in you, that this ceremony feels right at this time.
- See if there is a sacred object that wishes to help you find your heart and soul words for the ceremony. This will be your talking piece.
- Write the name(s) of the Nature Being(s) on a piece of paper.
- Bring a candle, unlit, with something to light.
- You may want pen/paper to take notes about your experience.
This Transfiguration Ceremony will include:
- Welcoming, landing round
- Talking Piece Guidelines overview
- Opening the Circle
- Stating the intention of the Ceremony in conjunction with the names or identities of the Nature Beings we each wish to honor
- Introduce and begin Transfiguring
- I will work with my Spirits to check on the beloved Nature Beings' souls and ensure they have crossed over peacefully
- Voluntary personal sharing for the time remaining (recording can be paused on request, the recording will only be available to members of this group and will be confidential otherwise)
- Closing the Circle
I expect it will take approximately 1 hour, depending on how many attend. We may run long, if lots of people RSVP and feel called to share.
Transfiguration is the birthright of all, and welcomes you regardless of your existing religious or spiritual beliefs. Transfiguration, as taught by Sandra Ingerman, is about filling ourselves with our own power -- our starlight, as she calls it -- and allowing that to shine out into the world. We do not actively send, we simply shine, like stars. The power of our inner wish to honor these Nature Beings we've lost is what we will call upon and shine to ourselves and into the universe.
