What we’re about
Annapolis Jaycees is a group of young professionals (ages 21-40) focused on the Annapolis, MD and Anne Arundel community providing unique volunteer opportunities throughout the year with social events in-between.
A few signature volunteer events include Maryland Special Olympics, Jam-Pack-A-Backpack (setting kids up for success with school supplies for the year), Hanging of the Greens (decorating downtown Annapolis storefronts for the holidays), and GreenScape Annapolis (gardening and mulching areas around town in the spring).
This organization is also known as the Annapolis Junior Chamber of Commerce (http://www.annapolisjaycees.com), and is a member of the Maryland Jaycees, the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce, and Junior Chamber International.
We are an inclusive group and welcome you to join us to get to know your community & meet new people while having fun!
We have a networking monthly meeting every third Tuesday, with a free round of drinks and appetizers. Feel free to drop by and meet others and see if this group is the right fit for you!

Join us as we decorate downtown Annapolis for the Holiday season! It is an annual tradition for the Jaycees of Annapolis to decorate storefronts of local downtown businesses with lighted garland and wreaths. We separate into teams and work together to hang greens that will light up Annapolis at night.
As usual, we'll be utilizing Stan & Joe's Saloon's Parking Lot (37 West Street, Annapolis MD) as the staging location for the event.
PARKING AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The Calvert Street Garage is free on weekends and only a 5 minute walk from Stan & Joe's, so we recommend parking there. Whitmore and Gotts Court garages are also nearby options, but do require payment.
Make sure to dress warmly, bring/wear gloves because you will be handling fresh greenery and nails/wires. Don't forget hats and other warm clothing, as well as any beverages of your choice to keep you warm throughout the day. Also recommend bringing a water bottle if you have one (we will have plastic water bottles available).
We will also have pizzas provided downtown mid-day!
Thanks so much for volunteering, and bring your friends to help make our town beautiful. We look forward to having a great turn out for this year's Hanging of the Greens!
There will be an awesome after-party at 6:30pm on Saturday, December 7th for those who participate. Details TBA at the event!
