This is an awesome sunset and night hike!

We'll hike to the top of Mission Peak. The distance is 7.5 miles roundtrip & the elevation gain is 2500 feet. We'll hike to the top and watch the sunset at 4:50PM. You will need a headlamp or flashlight to help you light the way down. The moon will be 99.1% full and rise at 5:04PM, so it will help light the way.

Please be on time as we need to get to the top to watch the sunset & back down on time. We will stay together but move briskly. Let's not take too many photos or dilly-dally. We need to be off the mountain by 10PM.

You need to wear proper footwear (hiking boots preferred over tennis/running shoes), headlamp or flashlight and warm clothing. It can be windy at the top.

**Meetup location: Level 1 entrance of the Ohlone College Parking Structure.**

Parking: From Mission Boulevard, turn into the Ohlone College campus. Go past lot H and K to the parking structure. Park in the parking structure. Pay for parking. Machine is at far end facing away from trailhead. Congregate on Level 1 at the southwest entrance facing the trailhead. Trailhead and port-a-potty are across the street from the parking structure.

You could park off campus for free and walk uphill for 15 minutes to meet us.

Notes: We will not start the hike from Stanford Ave, so don't go there!
