Pequea to Holtwood Rec Area (strenuous)

Please join me for a strenuous 8 hike on a particularly interesting stretch of the Conestoga trail. We will meet in the parking lot of the Holtwood Recreation area at 9:00 AM. For the address you can use 276 Old Holtwood Rd, Holtwood, PA 17532 (GPS 39.840537, -76.316491). From the meeting point we will carpool to the village of Pequea where we will commence our hike. Notable highlights along this trek include House Rock Vista, Tucquan Glen, the Pinnacle Overlook and Kelly's Run. Hikers should be prepared for multiple creek crossings (remember this is December) and several long, steep ascents. Micro-spikes may be necessary depending on conditions. No cotton/jeans. Wear wicking layers and an insulating layer and bring rain gear. This hike will not be cancelled in the event of bad weather except for freezing rain driving conditions. Snow's-a-go! Bring a little extra food than you would normally carry and a headlamp. Take at least one and half liters of water and make provision for insulating against freezing, as well as lunch and trail snacks. Sorry, no dogs on this one.
