Hidden Philly Parks and Gardens - 8 - 10 miles

Most people are familiar with Fairmount Park, LOVE Park, and Dillworth Park in Philadelphia, but it's the smaller neighborhood parks that give the city it's distinct character. Join us on an 8 - 10 mile 'urban hike' in search of those lesser known but beautiful Philly parks and gardens.

Hike will be moderate pace, through many Philly neighborhoods, focusing on those parks in the northern and western portion of the city. We will stop to enjoy a mid hike snack in one of the parks visited. Please bring along plenty of water, snacks, and dress for the weather. Steady rain cancels. If in doubt, please check Meetup before 7am the day of the hike. Street Parking available on Sedgley Drive which intersects Boathouse Row at Lloyd Hall. Paid lots also available in the vicinity. We will meet in front of Lloyd Hall Recreation Center, where there are restrooms.
