STOIC STUDY GROUP - Ongoing

We are reading Meditations Marcus Aurelius Gregory Hays translation 2003 The Modern Library edition. We will begin our discussion on pg. 42(xlii) of the introduction. Please Read that section (Recurring Themes) and Books One and Two. We haven't discussed this yet--Homework: In Book One, Marcus lists 17 ‘folks’ and what he learned from them (or was grateful for, etc.). Please make a list of at least 5 people and what lessons you learned from them. Please be willing to share at least one with the group. This group will meet Every Other Tuesday, 7-9pm. Our meeting place will be 1831 E. Concorda Dr., Tempe 85282 (south of Broadway and east off McClintock). Feel free to park in the driveway. Please BYOBeverage if desired. Note that our study group room is a shoe-free zone.

No prior knowledge of Stoicism is required. You are welcome to join at any time, however, please read the assignment for this session as our discussion will revolve around the relevant topics.
