Join us for an evening at the GLOW Festival, the Netherlands' biggest light art event, in the heart of Eindhoven! For eight days, the city transforms into a massive open-air museum with breathtaking light installations, blending art, technology, and design. GLOW celebrates Eindhoven's rich history as the "City of Lights" and showcases innovative light art by artists from around the world. Photographers, get ready—this is heaven for your camera lens!

We'll walk the 5km route through the city center, admiring astonishing light works and installations. Each square will offer a unique experience, and GLOW Spots will provide opportunities to grab a drink or snack along the way. Afterward, for those who want to extend the night, we'll visit the Van Moll Brewery taproom, where you can enjoy some of Eindhoven's finest craft beers.

Join us for the third event in our "Weird Museums" series as we explore the unique Schutterij Museum in Steyl! This fascinating museum is dedicated to the history and tradition of the schutterij—the citizen militias that once played a crucial role in defending towns across the Netherlands and Belgium. While many schutterijen have become a thing of the past, they are still alive and thriving in Limburg.

The museum takes you through centuries of schutterij culture, showcasing historic uniforms, weapons, banners, and other artifacts. Learn about the fascinating world of these militia groups, their traditions, and their kings and emperors—the best marksmen among them. With a collection that spans from medieval times to the present, and housed in a former church, this museum offers a deep dive into a lesser-known aspect of Dutch and Belgian history.

After the museum visit, we'll head to the Kloosterbrouwerij Steyl, a cozy brewery located in a former monastery, for drinks. It's the perfect spot to wrap up the day with a local beer or two.

Join us for the second event in the "Great Exhibitions" series, where we'll be visiting one of the most powerful and provocative art exhibitions currently on display in the Netherlands. On Saturday, November 23rd, we’ll meet at 3:00 PM in front of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam to experience "Miriam Cahn – Reading Dust", a deeply emotional and unsettling exhibition by the renowned Swiss artist. Cahn’s work, which tackles subjects such as war, gender, violence, and oppression, is known for its raw, visceral depictions and powerful symbolism.

The exhibition features around 100 works, including paintings, drawings, and films, arranged across five thematic rooms. As you move through the exhibition, you’ll be confronted with images of figures and bodies that reveal the brutality of conflict, the fragility of human existence, and the universal experience of suffering. Cahn’s ability to turn these difficult subjects into visual poetry will leave a lasting impact, making this a must-see exhibition for any art enthusiast.

After the exhibition, we’ll head to La Dilettante, a charming wine bar with a French-inspired atmosphere. Founded by former employees of GlouGlou, one of Amsterdam’s iconic wine bars, La Dilettante offers a unique selection of wines perfect for unwinding after an intense art experience.
