What Will the New Year Hold? Find out at AFOA's next meeting.
Details
Join us on virtually on Friday, December 6 at 7pm for Asheville Friends of Astrology's annual astrological preview. We'll take a look at what 2025 holds for us, astrologically. This tradition, started AFOA co-founder Benjamin Bernstein, is being passed on and continued. Ted Figura, AFOA's facilitator, aka Gargatholil, will be taking the reins this year and filling some very big shoes.
We'll begin the evening by exploring the "year chart" for 2025, cast for Asheville at midnight, January 1, 2025. We'll then move on for an in-depth look at the year's dominant astrological configuration - the mini-grand trine formed by Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. We'll explore possible meanings of this very significant aspect, and then look at the aspects that are made to it by the other planets. We'll then look at some important configurations occurring in 2025 that don't involve the mini-grand trine. All in all, there are some very exciting configurations that will light up the sky in 2025.
Then there are the eclipses! There are four of them this year (which is typical) - a solar and lunar eclipse in the spring, and a solar and lunar eclipse in the fall. Some of these are very juicy and some, in my opinion, turn out to be rather pedestrian. But if an eclipse falls on one of your personal planets, its significant no matter what.
We'll close the evening, time permitting, looking at some of the planetary ingresses that occur in 2025.
Don't expect predictions but do expect thoughtful insights about what the astrological atmosphere of 2025 is likely to be. And insights from, you, the audience are always very welcome!
