What we’re about
Ashland Symposia is a group for people interested in exploring the deeper forces shaping our world through engaging lectures and hands-on workshops. We are enthusiasts of analytical psychology and transdisciplinary thinking, which means we look at ideas from different fields and how they come together to help us understand the bigger picture. Whether you’re curious about human behavior, societal shifts, or the way diverse knowledge can be combined, our events will offer a space for meaningful discussion, learning, and collaboration. Everyone is welcome to join and share their insights!

We live in a world flooded with information, yet true understanding feels more out of reach than ever. This evening, we’ll explore how the way we consume information came to shape our view of the world. Drawing from Guy Debord’s idea of the Society of the Spectacle, and Baudrillard’s concept of hyperreality, we’ll look at how we arrived at today’s digital bubbles, viral hoaxes, and fragmented realities.
The format of this event is a short presentation followed by a group discussion, inviting everyone to share their thoughts and reflections.Location to be confirmed, to get the zoom link, click here.
