Mars is our libido. It is our energy pack we switch on to move out into the world to actualise our desires, big and small. Learning to command our own energy to express and actualise our desires is an essential part of becoming an autonomous, empowered adult.
But wait, there’s more. When we use this energy unconsciously, we are at the beck and call of greater societal forces that motivate us to ‘think’ we know what we need or want, but in reality, we are being manipulated to buy the ‘right products’, make up, video games, cars (you get my drift) to feed the machines of commerce. We think we are in charge, but we are not. This does explain the dissatisfaction that comes directly after the euphoria of many material or emotional attainments.

Lucky for us, this is where the deeper and truer purpose of Mars comes into play. For the Divine discontent we often feel upon reaching goals leads us to an increasing removal of the veils that hide our deepest truest desires. And these are the desires of the Soul. To find our truest expression, our task in the world that will lead us to more light, more love, more goodwill towards others and a proper understanding of what right relationships actually are. Hooray. This my friends, is the journey we are on with Mars. Thank you, Mars. 😊

Transiting Mars will be activating those Houses in your chart that are spanned by Cancer and Leo. There is something there that needs to be peeled back. Needs to become more authentic. Mars opposite Pluto gives great power and gravitas to this process. It is not a small thing for any of us. With Mars in Cancer, we are being asked to revisit our understanding of security and safety and to bring those understandings from an instinctual level to a higher intuitive understanding. With Leo we are being asked to know oneself in order to let go of oneself, to serve the collective from the Heart. Pluto will confront us with whatever is holding us back in this endeavour.
