Architecture + History Tour of Atlanta's Fox Theater + Lunch
Details
This event is a private tour of Atlanta's fabulous Fox Theater, followed by lunch in Midtown.
Originally opened in 1929, the Fox has a fascinating, evolving history as a Shrine Temple, which became a grand movie theater, and then later became the city's premier performing arts venue. The Fox nearly ceased to function more than once!
We're booked for a private Architecture & History Tour exclusively for LGBTQ Culture Explorers. The tour takes us through the theater's Ancient Egyptian and Middle Eastern influences, its origins with the Shriner Organization and its relationship with movie mogul William Fox.

- 11:00 - Architecture & History Tour begins (tour lasts ~60 mins)
- 12:30 - Lunch at El Viñedo Local, which is one block away.
