What we’re about

For over 100 years, the Atlanta Writers Club (AWC) has been dedicated to teaching the craft and business of writing. We do this through monthly meetings with experienced industry professionals, the twice-yearly Atlanta Writers Conference--with acquisition editors and literary agents responding to pitches and providing critiques, plus numerous educational activities--workshops, an annual writing contest, critique groups, and more. Our members range from those just starting out to best-selling authors with multiple books published. We have young adult members, participants in their nineties, and every age in between. AWC members encompass and welcome every form of diversity and all walks of life.

AWC meetings, on the third Saturday afternoon of each month, are always free to first-time visitors. Please come and decide whether we're a good fit for your writing needs. You can add your name to our mailing list for a free monthly newsletter, conference announcements, and news of literary events in the metro Atlanta region at AtlantaWritersClub.org and you can learn more about the upcoming conference at AtlantaWritersConference.com.
