What we’re about
The Atlanta Songwriters Club exists for songwriters who want to network with and support other songwriters. You do not need to be a member of the club to attend.
SEE OUR LISTINGS FOR THE DATES, TIMES, AND LOCATIONS OF OUR EVENTS. We have a stage, mics, keyboard, and DI plug-ins. Your $5.00 cover charge helps cover the cost of the room and technical support.
Everyone is welcome to perform one original song live or play a recording. The group will be happy to provide feedback about the song, although you are welcome to skip the feedback if you'd like. The $5 cover charge is required for both performers and guests.
All people, music genres, and subject matter are welcome. Please be kind, thoughtful, and supportive in your constructive feedback to other songwriters.

See all- Original Song Performance and Discussion in Midtown AtlantaRed Light Cafe, Atlanta, GA$5.00
The Atlanta Songwriters Club meets on the second Monday of each month at the famous Red Light Cafe to share original songs of any genre and discuss the craft of songwriting. It's a great chance to try out new material in a supportive and constructive setting.
Doors open at 7:00 and performances begin around 7:30. Red Light Cafe is just east of Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta's Amsterdam Walk.
$5 Cash or Venmo to watch and/or perform. See the host (Anthony) to pay and to sign up if you want to perform.
• Anyone who wants to perform (or play a recording) can bring one original song written by the performer. Feedback is offered by the group if you would like.
• For pianists, an old upright and a keyboard with weighted keys are available for use at the venue. Otherwise, bring whatever instrument you'd like to play to support your song. We see plenty of guitars, of course, but maracas, violins, and didgeridoos have all been used as well. We can also play your track from USB or smartphone. Small ensembles are welcome, but keep in mind that we won't have much time for setup between performers.
• You're also welcome to sing a cappella or simply share lyrics you wrote.
• If you don't want to perform, come for the music and feel free to participate in the discussion.
We are all here for the craft. Looking forward to seeing you.
