Festival of Sumud

The Festival of Sumud is a three-day immersion celebrating art and culture as acts of resistance and solidarity, organized by the teams behind Gaza Dialogues and Make Art Not War. Starting on Friday, Dec 20, with a powhiri and kai followed by live music, the event features workshops like banner painting, yoga, dabke, and kapa haka across two days. Attendees can enjoy art, reading nooks, and nightly live music while connecting with others who stand in support of Palestine. The festival concludes Sunday night with a community dinner featuring food donated by local restaurants. Kia kaha e te iwi.
