Auckland Book Lovers Book Club

I thought it would be nice to host our Christmas meeting at our house.

So no discussion theme, although I'm sure there will be lots of chat about books regardless.

If everyone could bring a plate (of food), whatever they would like to drink and if possible a chair.

It's going to be very casual starting at 11am and finishing at some point later.

If you would like to bring a book or books you would like to donate to someone else please feel free.

We live in Mangere Bridge near the mountain so ideal if anyone wants to go for a walk before or after the gathering.

I'll send out my full address a week before.

This month's theme is your favourite book(s) of 2024!

We will have the meeting in the Wintergarden Café again as the food and location are lovely.We're usually in the side room.

On a serious note.Please only RSVP yes if you actually intend to attend .I realise that things happen and sometimes people can't make it,if that happens please change your RSVP to no so someone on the wait list can attend. Often people just don't show up with no explanation this is discourteous to me,the other book club members and the venue.If you fail to turn up 2 times without changing your RSVP I will remove you from the club.

Also if you are on the waitlist please regularly check to see if you have been updated and have actually got a place at the meeting.It seems that sometimes update emails have not been getting through.
