Lane Cove National Park (LCNP)- Chatswood to Epping - 21km
I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land on which i walk, the Cammeraygal people of the Ku-ring-gai Aboriginal Tribe & pay respect to the Elders past, present & emerging.

🌳About: This is a picturesque walk of LCNP that follows the Lane Cove River. Lots of birds, tall trees, creek & river views. It's a good workout.. shady, goldilocks warm weather distance & finish around lunchtime.

🌳Route: From Chatswood Station we briefly walk through a couple of local streets & head into Blue Gum Reserve then LCNP. For the most part we follow the Great North Walk route.
We'll have a pseudo lunch break at the halfway point, Eden Gardens. Which has coffee, take away food, toilets & an outdoor lounge area.
We then make our way along the Lane Cove River up Devlins Track & exit near the motorway in Epping.
From there we walk through local streets to finish at Epping Station.
We should arrive at Epping around 1.30pm.

🌳Exit points: There's an exit point at the 10km mark (halfway) & our lunch break. It's a short walk to the train station.

🌳Distance: 21km

🌳Type of walk: Shady with well established bush tracks & fire trails. Some moderate terrain.

🌳Difficulty: Moderate. There are some rocky, hilly sections & steps.
Total elevation 395 m.

🌳Walking Pace: We will maintain a steady pace and average 4-4.5 km per hour.

🌳Meeting Place & Time: Chatswood Station opposite the turnstile exit.

🌳Public Transport:
Depart - 8.10am Central Station, Platform 26
Arrive- 8.24am Chatswood Station.

🌳What to bring:

• Trailwalker shoes with good grip
• 2 litres of water, optional hydralytes
• Carbohydrate snacks and lunch
• Light rain jacket depending on conditions
• Sunscreen and a cap or hat with a wide brim
• Eagerness to explore
