We’re thrilled to premiere this traveling exhibit showcasing 1st look at a new collage & resin paintings by Swarts. This exhibit is culmination of 13 years of collaging & lifetime of art making.The magazines she collects are magic. She saves what she wants & discards the rest-each piece gets filed away by color. Next she creates a stencil version of subject-subjects in this case are broken yet charming road signs.To begin, she opens folder of desired color& large pieces on floor, then begins puzzle of fitting together within stencil. Once complete, shapes are layered dimensionally in 5-7 layers of clear resin. Images come together to tell story which can be read differently, each time.Her hope is that this visual experience can draw viewers into visual telling of their own stories.
