Whether you're practicing a language, settling into the city or preparing for that next trip, you'll find a fun and welcoming environment to flex and reach your learning goals here. There's no minimum experience required - just BYOL: Bring Your Own Languages.
What does that mean? Three things:
- 🌱 PRACTICE: a zero-judgment space for you to use your languages with native speakers or like-minded learners
- 🧑🏫 TEACH: share feedback with those who are practicing languages you are fluent or proficient in
- 🔍 DISCOVER: Linguistically curious? Passive-aggressive owls not working for you? Try a new twist on the old tongue
🍷 We're pleased to host this event at Wanderlust Wine Co. (Shady Lane)! Tables will be first come, first served and the space will be shared with the general public, so we'll have signs for tables that include ALE attendees - feel free to float between them!

By participating in Austin Language Exchange, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Assumption of Risk: You understand that participating in the event involves risks, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, or loss. You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, that may result from your participation in the event.
- Waiver of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Austin Language Exchange, its owners, employees, volunteers, and agents are not liable for any claims, damages, or losses arising from your participation in the event, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or any other loss, whether arising from negligence or otherwise.
- Medical Treatment: In the event of an injury or illness, you authorize Austin Language Exchange to seek medical treatment on your behalf at your expense. You release Austin Language Exchange from any liability related to such treatment.
- Photographs and Media: By attending the event, you grant Austin Language Exchange the right to use your image and likeness in any photographs or recordings made at the event for promotional purposes without compensation to you.
- Compliance with Event Rules: You agree to follow all event rules and instructions provided by Austin Language Exchange. Failure to comply may result in your removal from the event without refund or compensation.
- Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Austin Language Exchange, its owners, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your participation in the event.
- Governing Law: This disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and shall be construed in accordance with those laws.
By attending the event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this disclaimer and waiver of liability.
