What we’re about
"Life is too short... do all the things. Connect. Explore. Instigate. Experience."
We are a community of amazing, supportive women who love exploring all Austin offers while sharing and creating lasting friendships. Whether it's brunch, happy hours, theatre events, dinners, concerts, museums, or other experiences, this is the place to connect and try new things together.
When you request access to the group, you agree to the following guidelines (both from our group and Meetup's “Usage and content policies: Rules for using Meetup”) to ensure a safe, fun experience for all.
Group Guidelines
- Respect Each Other. Be kind and considerate to fellow members and hosts. We all thrive when we support each other.
- RSVP Responsibly. Mark events in your calendar when you RSVP and attend as planned. If your plans change, please notify us at least 2 days before ticketed events to help waitlisted members.
- Be Punctual. Arrive on time. If you are late due to an emergency, please inform the host via text or a message on the event page.
Membership Expectations.
We understand that life can sometimes get in the way. Please communicate with the host or members (comment on the event page if it's close to the event) if you need extra flexibility. We ask that you keep the following expectations in mind:
- RSVP Responsibly: If you RSVP "Yes" but frequently change your RSVP to "No" (more than 50% of the time), you may lose future RSVP priority and be moved to the waitlist for events with limited space. We understand that plans change, but please be mindful of others waiting for a spot.
- Habitual Lateness: If you are consistently late to events without notifying the host, you may be removed from the group or moved to waitlist status for future events.
- Profile Picture: Please upload a clear photo of your face so we can recognize you at events and help new members feel comfortable.
- No-Shows: If you miss two or more (2+) events without notifying the group or the host, you will be removed from the membership.
About the Waitlist
- Don't be afraid to join the Waitlist. More often than not, if you’re on the waitlist, you have a chance to attend the event. Add the event to your calendar and watch the meetup notices even a day before!
- Be sure to cancel your RSVP "Waitlist" if you can’t attend. Even if you're on the waitlist, be sure to change your RSVP if your plans change. This ensures someone else on the waitlist gets the "extremely timely" notice if a spot opens up and you can't attend.
Communication & Meetup App
- Download the Meetup App: It’s the easiest way to stay informed, receive updates, communicate with hosts and members, and check event details.
- Check Notifications: Be sure to check your Push Notification Settings and/or Email Settings.
Becoming an Organizer!
We love welcoming new event leaders! If you’ve attended multiple events and enjoy creating fun, inclusive experiences for others, we’d love to have you join the team. Leaders help build a positive community.
Let’s continue to explore, connect, and create memories together!
