Location, date and time are placeholders. If anyone has preferences or ideas, I'd like to try and keep weekday after work and central to NW metro area.

Let's talk about how we make decisions. Where does intuition come into play vs critical thinking?

I had, what to me, is an eye opening moment. A friend of mine was the smartest kid in school, but now they're running into challenges. I find myself hesitant to attempt serious conversations with them, their snap judgements are a barrier I sometimes don't want to deal with.

I started to wonder if they did great in school because that aligned with their intuition, and if they never really learned critical thinking skills. The intuition being rewarded, the critical thinking skills may have atrophied and never developed. When I encourage them to try and gather more information before making a decision, they believe it's a waste of time.

It has me wondering about the roles of intuition and critical thinking, it feels like there are places for both. I'm also wondering if there are folks who never really developed critical thinking skills. Is there something I can change in my approach vs just avoiding hyper-judgmental people when I don't feel the bandwidth to fight their wrong assumptions?

Sounds like it could be the start of an enlightening conversation!

Let's gather to ponder, share insights and ideas. There's no "right way", but we can explore perspectives and learn.

On my end, I'm hoping to better understand myself and why I'm viewing things the way I do. Learning new ideas and different ways to think about the world.
