This is the group for you!

Not from Yorktown? No problem! We facilitate meetups all over Hampton Roads (Virginia Beach, Yorktown, Hampton, Norfolk, etc.). However, GJ mainly organizes activities in the Virginia Beach area (that side of the tunnel).

A little background:
I (Allie/Alisa) created this group in February 2018 during a turning point in my life. I realized that I am the creator of my happiness, and sometimes, achieving that happiness requires effort 💪. It's all about your attitude and perspective! You have to wake up every day and choose to be kind, cheerful, and proactive. Network, socialize, and strive for your goals! 🎯 I also needed more genuine friends and wanted a platform where I could do everything and anything (preferably not alone).

So here it is! Welcome to #BoredNevermore 🥳.

This platform also allows me to give back to the world 🌍. I’ve experienced anxiety and depression and know what it’s like to feel crushingly alone. Making true friends who care and reciprocate isn't easy. This meetup was created to help ensure that no one feels alone. I’m passionate about offering others what this group has given me. Remember, if this group isn’t the right fit for you—if we’re not your vibe or “tribe”—don’t give up! There are so many groups with different people. Keep trying! Your happiness and quality of life are worth it ❤️. Everyone has their niche, but I sincerely hope you find what you’re looking for here. 💖

How it works:

• Organizers will post events 🗓️ to see who would like to join. If you sign up and can’t make it, please update your RSVP!
• Want to host an event? Message GJ! He’ll be happy to help you create your event and assign you as the organizer. Just be ready to run the meetup in its entirety—be punctual, communicative, and reliable.
• This is NOT a singles group! If you meet someone and they turn out to be the love of your life, that’s fantastic 😍! But remember, our focus is on having a good time, meeting new people, and making FRIENDS (emphasis on friends). If it appears that your sole purpose is finding a partner, you may be removed from the group.
• Please do not message members without connecting with them in real life at a meetup or having some shared interest (other than messaging organizers for relevant information). The point of this group is to meet people IN REAL LIFE! Messages that make members uncomfortable may result in dismissal. This rarely happens, but it’s important to be clear!
