A Yes/Attending RSVP also signifies that you understand the Meetup.com Terms of Service agreement including the waiver of liability it contains and understand that participation is solely at your own risk. It also signifies that you agree to abide by the Fox Cities Backpackers Bylaws and Code of Conduct found therein. If you are not familiar with or do not understand these documents, do not sign up until you are. An organizer can help you locate them. Furthermore, organizers and event hosts are volunteers and do not have any backpacking, safety or first aid related training. Paying for an event is not hiring a guide; it is simply sharing costs between participants.

Let's start year 2025 off on the right foot!! (...or boot?...)
We will take a day hike at High Cliff State Park this year.
Please carry at minimum a day pack with snacks, water, and necessary layers, gloves, hat, and proper footwear for the weather conditions. Hiking poles useful in case areas are slick.
Let's plan to meet at the Lime Kiln parking area at 9. We will do a casual hike starting with the Lime Kiln trail to the Red Bird trail to the tower and decide from there if we would like to hike some of the grassland loops up top before hiking down to the parking area. Mileage dependent on what participants would like to do and the weather conditions.
Directions: Enter the park (you will need a day or yearly pass for entrance- you can obtain this online prior if you wish), turn left at the stop sign, and then a right in less than a half mile (prior to driving up the hill).
If you would like to bring a friend please have them sign up individually (due to liability).
