This is a beginner friendly hike, and we love meeting new friends.

As always, please check this event the night before and the morning of. Bad weather (as defined by the host) cancels the whole event. The host will try to give at least 2 hours notice if this event is canceled. If you feel the weather is bad but the event has not been canceled, please trust your judgment and update your RSVP to ‘not going.’

What to bring:
-Sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, sun protective clothing)
-Appropriate clothing (dress for the weather and layers are your friend)
-Closed toe, sturdy shoes (trail sneakers or hiking boots a plus)
-Water (1-2 liters, or whatever is comfortable for you)
-Snacks (for yourself, optional)
-First aid supplies and emergency gear (as applicable)
-Bug protection (as applicable)
-Flashlight/headlamp (as applicable)
-Money for a snack or meal (as applicable)
-Phone or camera for pictures (optional)
-Trekking poles and/or microspikes (optional)
-Copy of the trail map (optional)

Dogs:
Dogs are welcome as long as they are well-behaved, leashed at all times, and you’re willing to pack out any “presents” they leave along the trail. If your animal attends and does not meet these requirements, you may be asked to leave them at home for all future events.

Note:
By signing up for this hike, you acknowledge that you are hiking at your own risk. However, we will hike as a group and aim for a moderate pace (no running up the mountainside here) with breaks along the way. Please let us know if you have any concerns prior to the event.
