12+ miles. Meet at 8:30 a.m. at Bells Mills Road East Parking Lot near Forbidden Drive (40.079703, -75.225248). (There are parking lots on Bells Mills Road on both sides of the bridge.) Arrive early as parking is limited. Hike the orange trail crossing Devil’s Pool and the Fingerspan Bridge and visit the Tolerance statue along the white trail. This is an easy to moderate hike along Wissahickon Creek on terrain that is rocky in places with some rock scrambling. Trails can be wet or muddy. Hiking boots recommended. Hiking poles suggested. BATONA Hiking Club is more than a Meetup group. In existence since 1928, the Club welcomes a diverse group of people. Hike trails in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey. Opportunities for hike leadership and skill development are available. The Club also maintains sections of the Appalachian Trail, the Batona Trail, and the Horse-Shoe Trail.
