Hello Everyone!
Come on and join us for a day trip to the beautiful Bavarian Alpine Foreland, not even an hour from Munich by train!
We'll hike up to Huberspitz, where we can immerse ourselves in the serene winter forest and take in stunning views of Lake Schliersee and the majestic Alps. The hike is easy, taking less than an hour through peaceful woodland trails to reach the top. Afterward, we'll descend and take a train to Miesbach, a charming Bavarian town. On this day, Miesbach will be celebrating the start of the Advent season with its "1,000 Glittering Lights" event. The town center will be beautifully illuminated from 3 PM, and many stores will remain open until 8 PM, offering a delightful opportunity for a festive Christmas stroll.
Meeting Point 📍:
We’ll meet in front of Hausham station at 14:21 AM. Look for me in a red jacket to easily spot me. The train leaves at Munich main station at 13:30 AM in front of platform 34. You need to hop on the very first train part that heads to Bayrischzell (NOT Lenggries and NOT Tegernsee). Get off the train at Hausham.
What to Bring:
- Warm + waterproof hiking shoes (suitable for snow-covered and partly icy stony forest paths)
- Appropriate clothing (be prepared for being outside all the time --> a very warm jacket, scarf, gloves, warm hat, etc.)
- Some snacks and water
- Sunglasses
- Cash (for the Christmas market)
Temperatures will be between -2 to 4°C. Check the weather for Hausham at the following link: https://www.meteoblue.com/de/wetter/woche/hausham_deutschland_2908783

Each person is responsible for purchasing their own train ticket (the 49-euro Deutschland ticket is recommended).
