“I Never Noticed That Before” – A Fun Architectural Walking Tour

Discover the charm and hidden treasures of Palo Alto’s Professorville Historic District, a neighborhood steeped in history and architectural beauty! Known for its quaint tree-lined streets and early 20th-century homes, this area was originally home to Stanford professors (hence the name!). Today, it’s a National Register Historic District, showcasing a rich mix of architectural styles.

Join architect Martin Bernstein for a lively 1.5-hour walking tour where you’ll uncover fascinating details about the district’s design, learn surprising stories from its past, and spot architectural features you’ve never noticed before.

We’ll start our journey at the Downtown Palo Alto Library (270 Forest Avenue) at 1:30 pm sharp. Please arrive a few minutes early. Bring your curiosity, a comfy pair of walking shoes, drinking water, and get ready for a delightful exploration of one of Palo Alto’s most unique neighborhoods!
