Come join us ready to laugh, socialize, and learn a thing or two while playing Jeopardy-style TEAM TRIVIA! All you need is the ability to join a Zoom meeting - ideally from a computer with a second monitor or tablet device so that you can see the game board and your fellow players. The Zoom link will be visible to those that RSVP. We will start admitting people at 7:45 pm so folks can mingle - bring your best smile! 😁
After a bit of banter and socializing, event participants will be divided randomly into different teams and ushered into a breakout room where they will have one minute to decide the team's name and choose their team Captain (the one who will give the all-important FINAL ANSWER).
During the game, each team will have one minute to answer questions on trivia topics like Music, Before and After, Science and Technology, Actors/Actresses, Geography, History, and more. If you have a category you would like to see, please message us and we will work to make it happen. Ditto if you are willing to volunteer some time into creating a category or two (or even a whole board worth - six categories total) of questions for us to use on these game nights we can't do this without you!
Remember, this is a fun, friendly, and collaborative competition where you are playing on your honor. PLEASE: 1) do NOT look up answers online (e.g., Google, Wikipedia) so your team can get it right, and 2) remain muted or silent while the team which is “up” has their turn. And realize that those who complain about wording or answer interpretations from the host/judge will be conscripted to submit a category of questions for future use! 🤣
One of the goals of these events is to build community and foster friendships (and maybe more 😉), so we want to include as many folks as possible. However, we cap the total number of attendees so that we don't get overwhelmed with too many players to see comfortably on the screen in gallery mode. If you register but your plans change, PLEASE change your RSVP as soon as you can so someone else can play. If you end up on the waitlist, don't despair - check back on game night as we often get last minute openings.
