Just coming off a spur of the moments Chess Event at Joe's Pizza on 41st and Broadway. I didn't have anything scheduled. People started asking...NAGGING...(jk), about whether we were playing tonight. So, I said, "I think we can set up something with Joe's real quick". They said, "Sure, not a problem". I had spoken to them about the possibility of us playing there, back in December. They were excited when I mentioned it was involving chess. They took flyers for their family members and relatives. So, when I called...I knew it wouldn't be a problem.
We went, ate and then spent 4 hours playing chess. Even though we could have stayed longer, we ended it early. Next week, they'll have a way bigger crowd, because now it's actually scheduled. They asked when we'd be back. I said, "We can be back every Friday, if you guys want". They said, "Yup, just let us know whatever you need". So, now our spot is Joe's Pizzeria on Friday nights.
