What we’re about
I hugged a stranger in a parking lot earlier this week and he started to cry. He had just lost his wife and I didn’t know it. Everybody’s going through a battle right now and we need human connection more than ever. Hugs, kindness, playfulness. Anything to keep us up. Good interactions can refresh people more than you know. If you’re in a good mood, spread it.
This group is organized around the simple philosophy of being kind and expressing positivity to one another. If someone at an event appears shy and is being left out from things, bring them in. Strike up a conversation with someone you might normally ignore. Prejudices and hatred will not be tolerated, nor will anyone taking advantage of others' kindness. Don't use these events to try to enhance your social standing or try to hook up with someone. We're just here to have a good time with positive people.
As far as activities go, this group is designed to be pretty broad in scope. Some events might be outdoorsy, some might involve meeting up at a restaurant to socialize or play games, there may be events centered around concerts or the arts, etc. Basically, anything people are interested in doing will be considered, the only real organizing theme is the group philosophy.
