The Art of Kumihimo - Japanese Braiding Cord Necklaces

Join us for a hands-on class where you’ll learn the beautiful and intricate art of Kumihimo, an ancient Japanese braiding technique used to create elegant cords .Kumihimo is cherished for its decorative and functional uses, from intricate jewelry designs to traditional obi (sash) ties in kimono.
During this workshop, you’ll:
• Learn the basics of Kumihimo, including setting up a Kumihimo disk, selecting threads, and following braiding patterns.
• Create your very own Kumihimo bracelet or to take home.
No prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided, and by the end of the session, you’ll have the skills to continue creating beautiful Kumihimo braids on your own!
