Mid-week evening hike in Fox Chapel, (Wednesday)

Welcome to the Beat the Blues Wellness Adventure Group! Join host AJ for an evening hike of the local trails in the Fox Chapel area. We hike Beechwood Farms or the Eliza Fox trail depending on the day and attendance.

Meeting location: Audubon Society of Western PA Parking Lot. We will be hiking in all conditions unless notified in advance.

Distance and pace: Hikes typically last about 1-1/2 hours and stretch for 2-4 miles. This Is a moderate to fast paced hike with plenty of breaks for water.

Please be mindful that dogs are not permitted at Beechwood Farms Nature Preserve but they are allowed on thr Eliza Fox Trail. Hike route is determined by hike leader before each hike.

Recommendations:

• This hike starts in the evening and tends to get dark around 8PM. It is strongly encouraged to bring a headlamp or flashlight in case you need it.
• Because of the terrain and unexpected ground conditions (i.e. mud, water, loose ground, etc.) it is HIGHLY recommended that you wear hiking shoes. Hiking poles are encouraged for un-even terrain, but not always necessary.
• Lastly, hydration is key. We always and strongly recommend you bring water or some sort of hydration with you.

The event is limited to 25 in order to account for all hikers and respect the peace of the park. If you cannot attend, please change your reservation as soon as possible so that others may join the event.

We reserve the right to remove anyone from event(s) or the group due to not adhering to our guidelines.

Hikers attend at their own risk, and it is the individual responsibility of each hiker to determine what is safe for themselves on all of our hikes.
