Hello, All! We recently voted to expand our community by creating multiple get togethers. This group will have events predominately scheduled in the Hillsboro area, but you are welcome to go to any and all events.
The goal of this group is to encourage ourselves to create and explore the world of art by building a community to share with others. ALL are welcome. Only those who violate the values as listed below will be excluded from this group.
This group is about sharing any and all forms of art, including but not limited to: poetry/short story/essay, ceramics/sculpting, drawing, painting, knitting/crocheting/weaving, tailoring/stitching, cosplay, metalwork/blacksmithing, jewelry making, makeup art, hairstyling/dyeing, woodworking, dancing, music/singing, music videos, short films, to many more and anything in between.
But the focus of this group is now about community and building a place in which you can share your creative ideas, finished or works-in-progress, with other artists. Here, I wish people to come together and discuss their creative ideas with a community that can nurture, stimulate, and encourage our inner "genius".
We value the idea that everyone is at their own place in their creative journey. This groups is about honoring that place, whether that is a beginner who is looking to learn from more experienced members, a professional sharing their passions with open-minded artists, or people who have never picked up a pen/paintbrush/crafting knife/etc but have a deep infatuation for art.
This group is not for people who wish to talk their work, themselves, or others down in any negative way. Those who say or act intentionally negative/offensive toward themselves or others will be removed from the group with no second chances.
