About the facilitators:
Krista Sabados is a somatic healing coach and group healing facilitator with extensive experience in adult learning, spirituality, and human transformation. She holds a Master's degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard and has furthered her education in Clinical Psychology at Cal State San Bernardino. She is trained in Reiki healing, guided spiritual ceremonies, and has received personal training from renowned meditation and self-compassion experts Dr. Christopher Germer, Dr. Kristin Neff, and Tara Brach. Additionally, she has trained extensively in mind-body mental health modalities with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
Erika Gonzalez, a resilient Navy veteran and dedicated mother of two, has faced the profound challenges of PTSD and depression. Determined to show up fully for herself and her family, she transformed her journey into one of healing and empowerment. Through years of practice, Erika harnessed the power of art as a means of self-healing, using creativity to navigate complex emotions and break unhelpful patterns. Alongside this, she embraced somatic exercises and nervous system regulation techniques, equipping herself with a toolkit for balance and resilience. Erika's passion for art and community has led to numerous accomplishments. She has hosted several art groups centered around somatic art exercises, fostering spaces where others can explore healing through creativity. Her commissioned drawings, particularly of beloved pets, have brought joy to many, and her talent shines in large-scale works, such as a massive mural in Yucaipa. Erika has also held art meet-ups at a local coffee shop, creating connections through shared artistic expression, and showcased her work in a gallery with an engaging talk at the Queen Bean Café. Now, she is eager to continue sharing her skills and inspiring others through her art and story.
